Tip #6: Is It Hot In Here or Is It Just Me?

2 Jun

You just bought a Cab from the store and want to serve it for dinner. It’s room temperature, perfect for serving, right? Wrong! Room temperature, of course, is relative, but back when “room temp” was considered ideal for serving full-bodied reds it was around the 60° F (15°C). Serving Cabernet Sauvignon at the right temperature will enhance it’s taste and getting there is no biggie: drop the bottle in the fridge for 30-40 minutes. And if you’re jonesing for a taste of that sweet berry wine, 10 minutes in a bucket of ice water (the water is important) will do the trick.
